Update: 8:05PM THE Nadi River has not reached critical level and is not expected to, according to Nadi special administrator Aisea Tuidraki.
He added that rainfall at the tourist centre had ceased, however, the same could not be said for the hills surrounding Nadi.
"We also have noticed that rain intensity and the size of droplets has also increased and this has led to flooding of drains and small waterways," he said.
