Peninsula International Hotel
Thursday, February 21, 2013

The Peninsula International Hotel offers a number of facilities that are also open to the public.

The hotel offers four-room types totaling 100 rooms from standard to super deluxe rooms.

Currently the deluxe rooms and the standard rooms are in the process of being renovated and should be finished by the end of March.

There is also our Pool Bar, Baka Bar, Mokosoi Restaurant and Conference Room, which can cater for up to 40 to 50 people depending on the setup.

The hotel Pool Bar situated on the first floor was refurbished some months ago. Guests, visitors and members of the public are now able to enjoy a cold refreshing drink beside the pool during the hours of 12midday to 8pm on Monday to Friday and 10am to 4pm on Saturday and Sunday. Happy hour is from 5pm to 8pm.

With most of the surrounding area near the pool covered with a roof, guests and visitors have a place where tables and chairs are available to allow them to use. Apart from refreshing drinks, there is a variety of bar snacks available.

Located on the second floor is the pride of the Peninsula. Renovated into a sports lounge is the air-conditioned and smoke free Baka Bar, which is open Monday to Friday 2pm to 10pm and Saturday and Sunday 4pm to 10pm.

The Bar has draught Fiji Gold and Fiji Bitter on tap at $10 per jug during happy hour, from 5pm - 8pm daily, and $13 per jug outside of happy hour. Also available is a range of bar snacks. After that long day at the office the Baka Bar is a great place to relax away from the CBD. For great dining the Mokosoi Restaurant is open for breakfast from 7am to 10am, lunch from 12midday to 2pm and dinner 6pm to 10pm.

The restaurant provides daily lunch and dinner blackboard specials besides the a la-carte menus. Occasionally a special night of Fijian dishes is available.

There is a meal choice for everyone's taste.

Hotel general manager Carl Perrin has encouraged the public to use any of the facilities available. Outside social groups are welcome to make enquiries for any group activity. Catering can be arranged for any type of event in the conference room or at the Pool Bar where the pool area can be closed off for any private function.

If you have a set budget for a type of function, staff can arrange to provide for you a choice of menus within your budget or we would be happy to quote on your own menu.

Mr Perrin welcomes any request to view the facilities available especially the newly renovated rooms. An appointment would be necessary to view the rooms as it would depend on occupancy.
