LABASA goalkeeper Akuila Mataisuva is one of the nominees for the Male Footballer of the Year at the Fiji Football Association awards night in Nadi this weekend.
The young national stopper will contest the award with Kaliova Tivulu of Tailevu Naitasiri, Suva's Nathan Kumar and defender Samuela Vula.
Fiji FA chief executive officer Bob Kumar yesterday released the list of nominees for the annual event to be held at Fun Plaza Hotel on Saturday night.
Suva, Nasinu and Tailevu Naitasiri are in the running for the Team Of The Year award while Tagi Vonolagi and Suva coach Gurjit Singh were nominated for the Coach Of The Year award. The OneWorld Flight Centre sponsored event will start at 7pm.
