COMMITTEE members of the Naqaravutu Eco-Tourism project in Natewa have set their eyes on bigger plans to attract tourists to their shores.
Project co-ordinator Petero Qaloibau said they have had tourists visit the site although not too many over the past three years.
"We have got in touch with a few hotels in Savusavu and they have come up to see the place," he said.
"They do like the surrounding and the walk up to the waterfall in the forest but for some hoteliers, because their guests are mostly old people, the long travel from Savusavu will be quite a challenge.
"That is why we are looking at bigger and better plans to accommodate the tourists' travel up to Natewa from Savusavu."
Mr Qaloibau said one option was to make arrangements with cruise ships.
"Bringing in cruise ships to Natewa Bay will be much easier because tourists don't have to travel on the rough roads from Savusavu."
