Jobs for locals in Emirates

Dawn Gibson
Tuesday, February 19, 2013

NEW job opportunities for Fijians have been secured in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

This was made possible through the Ministry of Labour, which earlier this month announced employment potential in the tourism and medical sectors in the UAE.

Minister for Labour JoneUsamate said this was a great chance for Fijians.

"Our people have a reputation in hospitality, technical skills, and ability to interact with people.

"Now we are opening up opportunities for people to work in five-star and seven-star hotels in a range of occupations," Mr Usamate said.

A Ministry of Information statement released last week stated those interested in applying needed to do so quickly.
