THE Golden Eagles team took out the Lautoka Rugby Union tens tournament at the Nadovu grounds on Saturday.
The Golden Eagles team formerly known as the Covenant Brothers club defeated Draulu 18-0 in the cup final.
In the semi-final Golden Eagles beat Vuda Blues 15-5 while Draulu downed Vio 12-10.
Lautoka Rugby Union game committee chairman Suka Rabitu said 22 clubs participated in the daylong event.
He said the idea of the tens tournament was to scout for players for the 2013 domestic season.
"Police and Medics were the lone clubs which missed out," Rabitu said.
"The tournament was successful. There were some close results recorded. We are really happy with the turnout. Only two clubs failed to attend."
"There will be another tens tournament next week and we expect full attendance by the clubs. The selectors were at the grounds to see how the players performed."
Red Hill won the bowl title beating Batiri 7-0 in the final.
Duiyasana won the plate title after edging out Namoli 12-10 in the final.
