POLICE arrested two men from their Waibau farm in Nausori after finding and uprooting 35 plants believed to be marijuana.

The men are currently in police custody while the leaves and plants are undergoing further analysis at the Koronivia Research Station.

Fiji Police Force spokesman Inspector Atunaisa Sokomuri said a team of officers raided the farm on Saturday morning and uprooted the plants, which ranged from 1.7 metres to 2.5 metres in height.

Insp Sokomuri said police officers also confiscated a plastic bag full of dried leaves.
