Suspicious fire

ARSON is suspected in the fire that destroyed the New World Supermarket at Nakasi late last year.

The finding was confirmed by the National Fiore authority after completing its investigation.

"We had asked police to conduct further investigations because the facts of the case suggested a possible case of arson," said NFA's spokesman Ritesh Kumar.

Police are yet to confirm if a criminal investigation has started on the case.

The fire occurred on December 23 last year at the Tebara Plaza shopping centre at Nakasi.
