Protecting our children

Serafina Silaitoga
Saturday, February 16, 2013

INSPIRATIONAL author Amitesh Deo believes religious leaders play a vital role in protecting children.

"Religious leaders need to play a more active role in trying to protect children and prevent child abuse."

He was responding to recent media reports on comments made by a senior Methodist Church pastor that church leaders would look at ways of assisting parents supervise their children while they (parents) attend church activities.

He said many parents spend more than enough time sitting in the church or in Ramayan gatherings but not sit with their children at home to do homework together.
