THE Westin Denarau Island Resort and Spa welcomed their first guests for this year after its official re-opening last week.

The Westin Resort management and staff welcomed their guests for the first time after being closed during the cyclone period.

The Westin Resort which is located on the picturesque Denarau Island in Nadi is the best and ideal place to stay during the holiday season.

Its unique and stylish designed rooms and facilities reflect Fiji's rich cultural heritage and local style and is a place where guests leave feeling great about spending their time in Fiji's tropical setting resort.

Only a few minutes drive away from the busy tourist town of Nadi, the Westin Resort and Spa has a lot to offer its guests from their ocean view room, regent and royal suite to their well recognised heavenly spa.

Westin Resort and Spa through a statement have highlighted that the temporary closure had given the resort a chance to enhance its features and now not only look but feel revitalised.

The resort had stated that through the brand promise to deliver 'Westin for a Better You' the resort aims to continue to provide the highest standards of hospitality and sanctuary one would come to expect from a Westin Hotel.

The reopening achievement is being credited to the amazing effort by the Westin management team, associates and contractors that had worked tirelessly to get the resort up and running again early this year.

Starwood Hotels and Resort Fiji Managing Director Shane Cunning said hotel manager Ravinder Dhesi and his team had come together under imminence pressure and had delivered beyond expectation with the resort looking immaculate and refreshed.

Concurrent with the reopening of the hotel, The Westin Denarau Resort and Spa would also be launching a brand new restaurant, Steakhouse by Peter Kuruvita.

Having opened the award winning Flying Fish in Sydney in 2003, internationally renowned chef and SBS TV presenter, Peter joined the Starwood family in 2008 with the opening of Flying Fish Fiji at Sheraton Fiji Resort.

Shane Cunning says that Westin Resort is delighted to be able to partner with Peter now on this new exciting restaurant venture.
