Discipline, fitness concern for Male

FLYING Fijians head coach Inoke Male says discipline and fitness are the key areas they need to address before the Pacific Rugby Cup (PRC) tour to Australia next month.

The Fiji Warriors team marched into camp on Monday this week before breaking camp yesterday.

Male picked the under-23 players in the Fiji Warriors team as build-up for the 2015 Rugby World Cup in England.

"All players attended and they responded well in training," the former Flying Fijian said.

"It will be an opportunity for them to showcase their talent to us for the Flying Fijians and to overseas clubs as well for next four years."

Male said the players would do their own training before re-joining camp on Tuesday next week.

He said players from Suva, Tailevu and Naitasiri would attend training at the HPU Gym in Laucala from 10am tomorrow while Nadroga and Nadi players would train at their allocated venues.

Male said they would test on the players' endurance once they re-join camp on Tuesday.

"The main problem is finance as you can see this year we are camping only for three days this week and three next week before flying out on February 27," he said.

"And IRB too is not giving the allowances like the past years."
