THE woman who is implicated in the missing new $100 bill gave false information to police officers, the Suva Magistrates Court heard.
Vasemaca Senilagakali has pleaded guilty to one count of giving false information to a public officer.
This was the result of an extramarital affair between her and one of the accused.
The court heard that on December 27 last year, Ms Senilagakali allegedly gave false information to police about the missing new $100 bills.
The court was informed that after the new bills were found in her possession, she alleged the money was given to her by her husband.
It was alleged that Ms Senilagakali used the $100 bill given to her by one of the accused to buy a perfume, a three quarter jeans and some kitchen utensils.
She later changed her statement saying the money was given by one of the accused charged for theft in this matter whom she was having an affair with.
In court, Ms Senilagakali said she had been separated from her husband since then.
She also told the court that she was afraid to tell the truth because it could ruin her relationship with the accused.
She will be sentenced on February 26.
