SOLO Nata scored 42 stableford points to win the second round of the BSP Life Summer Cup Golf competition at the Vatuwaqa golf course last Saturday.
Nata edged Vijay Goundar on a count back to win the A grade. Umesh Shandil settled for the third position.
In the B grade, Iniliki Takiveikata had 46 points Russell Gibson, 44, and Gurd Mar, 42.
FGC official Kevin Maitava said there was a good turnout over the weekend. He said the weather was perfect.
"One hundred twenty one golfers have enjoyed a second round of BSP Life sponsored Summer Cup at Vatuwaqa. The event will be played over six weeks instead of seven weeks as previously announced," he said in a press statement.
"The weather was perfect for a stableford event. Solo Nata, who scored 42 stableford points won A grade on count back from Vijay Goundar, who had to settle for a second prize. Umesh Shandil won third prize also on count back," he said.
Darmendra Singh scored 44 points to win a first prize in C grade. Arvindra Kumar scored 42 for second place on count back from Papua New Guinea High Commissioner Peter Eafeare.
Merelita McCarthy had 43 points to win the ladies division. Ana Harvey was second on 32. The nearest-to-pin prizes were won by Father Le Vodivodi and Robert Li on second and sixteenth holes, respectively.
