Traffic violations

Maciu Malo
Monday, February 11, 2013

AN additional 1348 traffic infringement notices were issued to motorists last week.

This takes the total number of bookings to 3743 since the commencement of Operation Rainbow three weeks ago.

Director traffic Senior Superintendent of Police Mahesh Mishra said the increasing number of bookings had alarmed authorities despite the continuous road safety awareness.

In particular, SSP Mishra pointed out the high number of bookings in the Western Division as police and the Land Transport Authority beef up their operations in the area.
