FORMER national reps Marika Vunibaka and Maleli Bula led their Lomaiviti Babas side to a 26-19 win over Red Rock in the final of the Caubati Mission 7s tournament.
The younger brother of national sevens team winger Benito Eremasi, Semi Radradra featured prominently in the match scoring two tries in the win.
Other try scorers for Lomaiviti were Alipate Matevelia and Sakiusa Yanuyanutawa.
The tournament, held at the Veiuto Primary School, was fundraising drive and only eight teams competed in the event.
Lomaiviti coach Sakaia Ragata said they took part in the tournament to support the fundraising drive.
He added the competition was a good build-up for his side for the Northland Vancouver 7s tournament.
"We gave some game time to the boys and tried out some new combination as a build-up for the Vancouver 7s that will be held next week," Ragata said.
Tournament organiser Sakiusa Tukalo said even though they did not get a good response towards the tournament, they were keen on hosting another one.
"This was a one-day event and only eight senior teams and eight under-19 teams took part," he said.
"I think the low number of teams was because of the other tournament in Lautoka but anyway, we would like to have another tournament sometimes in the near future."
Lomaiviti II took out the plate final winning 20-0 over Red Rock II.
Red Rock managed to win the under-19 grade beating Tru Blue 12-5.
