THE final of the Raiwai Volleyball Association Vulaca Championship build-up tournament will be played tomorrow.
Nightfall prevented the organisers from completing the tournament at Eagles Courts in Raiwai yesterday.
Association official Peni Ratumaiyale said Raiwaqa would face-off Raiwai in the final.
"In the semi-finals, Raiwai I beat Raiwai II 2-0 while Raiwaqa beat Naviti from Nakasi 2-1," he said. Raiwai, who are hosting the Vulaca Championship next weekend, had been hosting build-up tournaments for the past two weeks. Ratumaiyale said the build-up tournament proved to be really helpful to the teams that participated.
"These teams used this tournament to gauge their strengths and weaknesses.
"Since one week is left, teams must have seen their weaknesses today (yesterday) and use next week to work on improving that.
"Same can be said for us at Raiwai, as the hosts of the Vulaca we want to do well in the tournament and so these build-up tournaments has been really helpful for us," he said.
The Vulaca Championship will be held in Suva on February 15 and 16.
