SUVA soccer coach Gurjeet Singh is reluctant to play at Govind Park in Ba because of security reasons.
The Capital City side is scheduled to face Ba at Govind Park at 3pm today in the Fiji Sun/GP Batteries National Football League.
Singh told Times Sports he vividly remembers the incident at the same venue in October last year during the final of the Inter-District Championship.
He said neither he nor his side had been to Govind Park since that day and doesn't want a repeat of that incident.
"Our main concern for the match is the security of the team and officials at Govind Park," Singh said.
"If there is not enough security present, we might not field our team if we feel threatened," he said.
"We hope Fiji Football Association provides enough security at Govind Park because we don't want a repeat of the IDC incident."
Singh added he always feels insecure when playing against Ba for the remarks that are made against him.
"I am usually sworn at, there are remarks made about me and people say a lot of things and I have been facing this for some time now.
"I don't like to be sworn at and I will not tolerate this if it happens again," he said.
Fiji FA chief executive officer Bob Kumar said normal security personnel and even some police officers would be present during the game.
"There will be security officers and police present at the venue just like any normal match. Ba and Suva have played twice this season and there has been no problems," Kumar said.
"My message to the fans would be to come and enjoy the match but don't interfere in any way and be good spectators," he said
Meanwhile, Singh said the capital side would miss the services of two key players while another was in doubt for the match.
"Leone Damudamu and our top striker Samuela Drudru will miss this game because of double yellow cards.
"Also, we are not sure whether Sanni Issa will play for us or no because even though he is registered with us, he has been training with Ba.
"We will surely miss the two suspended players because our strike force will be affected as there is only Jonas Naceva and no other good striker to fill in the position so we will have to make some tactical changes," Singh said.
