ASSISTANCE for the national hockey men's and women's side for Round 2 of the International Hockey Federation World League in India keeps on increasing.

Joining the list of donors for the minor was Suva's prominent watering hole, O'Reilly's Bar.

On Thursday, the bar's director of operation Jodi Bacchiochi Chang handed over a cheque for $1000 to the two teams.

She said the bar also collected a dollar from every patron that entered the club on Friday's and Saturday's for the past few weeks.

"O'Reilly's Bar is supportive towards all sports and we're really happy to help the national hockey sides," Chang said.

"All the best to both teams in Delhi and we look forward to celebrating with them on their return," she said.

Fiji women's team manager Seraphina Mock applauded the bar for their support.

"We are really thankful to O'Reilly's Bar for the kind donation and the fundraising gesture," she said.

The men's side, ranked 71 in the world, is pooled with hosts India (11th), China (18th), Ireland (15th), Bangladesh (40th) and Azerbaijan (38th) while the womens side ranked 59th in the world, has been pooled with Japan (9th), India (12th), Russia (20th), Malaysia (22nd) and Kazakhstan (33rd).

Both teams leave for India next week and the tournament will be played in New Delhi from February 18 to 24.
