Hall extension for meet

THE Cikobia Community hall will soon be extended in preparation for the upcoming Macuata Provincial Council meeting scheduled to be held on the island in May.

Provincial administrator Macuata Josefa Rokonai said a team of officials were deployed to the island on Wednesday to accompany the building materials for the extension work.

"The items are purchased by the villagers and we were tasked to cart it to the island," Mr Rokonai said.

"The hall will be extended to accommodate the number of people attending the meeting.

"Along with the shipment, we have also carted some beekeeping boxes and water tanks for the four villages," he said.

Mr Rokonai said the tanks were given by the Vodafone ATH Fiji Foundation.

Roko tui Macuata Sitiveni Lalibuli said the meeting would be held sometime in May.
