THE Prime Minister's Relief Fund received an added $50,000 from the ANZ Bank yesterday for its assistance to those affected by Tropical Cyclone Evan.

ANZ Fiji chief executive officer Vishnu Mohan said the bank hoped the gift would be of further assistance to an estimated 20,000 people that government was still trying to reach out to in some form or another.

Receiving the cheque, Prime Minister Commodore Voreqe Bainimarama said the gift would go a long way in helping those communities get back on their feet.

"On behalf of the government of Fiji and especially those communities that were severely impacted by Cyclone Evan, I would like to thank ANZ for this very wonderful gift," Commodore Bainimarama said.
