PCs for schools

RADISSON Blu Resort on Denarau, Nadi, hopes a gift of computers to two Nadi schools will help students gain crucial computer literacy skills.

Yesterday, the resort handed 10 brand new computers to Ratu Navula Secondary and Nadi District Primary schools.

General manager Gerard Knight said the new computers were the result of the resort's adopt-a-school initiative. He said for NDPS, six computers that were damaged in last year's floods were returned to the school after the resort's IT department repaired them.

Nadi District headteacher Poasa Sausau said the new equipment would strengthen the school's role in providing an improved standard of education for students.
