FORMER national reps will spearhead the western team's campaign during the Vanua Challenge in Suva from March 1-2.
The western participants for the annual meet were drawn yesterday.
This after the Western Rally Championship which was the qualifying tournament could not be completed because of darkness in Nadi last month.
Cuvu One heads the men's draw.
The side will be skippered by former national rep Uraia Waqatabu.
Nadi One the second seed will include current national beach volleyball rep Isake Raratabu and former indoor national rep Josefa Draunibaka.
Lautoka One is the top seed for the women's section.
The side will be captained by former national middle blocker Teresia Lilicama.
National rep Repeka Lasaqa and former national beach volleyball player Finau Waqa will guide the Nadi One team.
Western Volleyball Association executive Dan Vakadranu said all the teams had been training every afternoon.
He said the westerners would be out to create upsets in Suva.
The teams that have qualified in the men's division include Cuvu One, Nadi One, Topline Two, Waiyavi One, Waiyavi Two, Kenani One, Nadroga One and Nadi Two.
The women's teams that will represent the west include Lautoka One, Topline One, Topline Two, Lautoka Two, Nadi One, Cuvu One, Cuvu Two and Waiyavi One.
