THE Navua Football Association has announced its interim office bearers until the next annual general meeting later this month.
Ravi Chand will act as the interim administrator and businessman Faud Ali will be the team director until the 70th AGM that will be held at Vashist Muni Institute in Navua on February 27.
Ashwin Chand is the only sitting official who has retained his position.
Administrator Chand, a former NFA president, thanked Fiji FA for the appointment.
"I wish to take this opportunity to express my sincere gratitude to Fiji FA and the clubs of Navua FA for their support and confidence in me. I wish to appeal to them to maintain peace and assist me in this transition period to usher Navua FA into a brighter and better future," he said in a press statement.
He said their main objective was to maintain consistency in the leadership of the district.
"Under my leadership I will want to ensure that district representative team operates normally without any obstacle until the AGM and to call the AGM of Navua FA to return the administration and operations of Navua FA to normalcy as desired by the clubs and the people of Navua."
The Navua soccer team sits at fourth position in the National Football League table with six points from three games following wins over Nadroga and Tavua after having earlier lost 0-2 to Ba.
