THE Northland Rugby Union is waiting on the Vancouver 7s organisers to confirm the sponsors before they finalise their preparation for the Vancouver Tiqavia Sevens next week.

The third leg of the Vancouver series kicks-off at Gatward Park in Korovou on February 15-16.

NRU spokesman Tevita Kanalagi said all logistics of the tournament were taken care of.

He said the ball was now in the hands of the Vancouver organisers to finalise the details of the two-day tournament.

"We are just waiting for the organisers to get back to us now. From our part we have arranged everything and it is ready," he said.

"We are only left to hear from them concerning our sponsors."

Former Flying Fijians 15s coach Ilivasi Tabua is the local agent for the Vancouver tournament.

Tabua recently returned from Australia to negotiate more on the Tiqavia event.

"I have talked to Tabua (Ilivasi), he is back in the country now and tomorrow (today) we will finalise the details of the tournament."

Kanalagi said they would confirm the 32 teams later this week.
