A camera for a 60K house

IT was an early birthday present for a bank officer in Suva when he won a fully furnished two-bedroom kit house in the 2012 Courts Christmas Dreams Come True promotion late last month.

Fiji Development Bank (FDB) worker and Northern Division winner Necani Koroi had purchased a camera in November last year so that he could take pictures of his daughter's graduation from kindergarten.

"My wife urged me to buy a new camera and it turned out be my luck that I won a fully furnished house. When I found out that I had won, I was overjoyed and excited," he said.

The draw on January 26 saw a turnaround of luck for Mr Koroi who celebrated his 34th birthday three days later.

"I think I owe this to my wife who urged me to buy the camera. This comes as a blessing from God," he said, expressing appreciation to Courts Fiji Limited for always giving it back to the customers.

"I think it has been a really good promotion and a great birthday gift for me too. The house kit is worth $60,000," he said.

Conditions of entry included the winner providing land for the construction of the house. In a confirmation letter of his prize, Courts Fiji Limited director marketing Anil Senewiratne said once the land was confirmed, the construction work of the house would commence.

The furnished kit house comes with a three-piece lounge suite, double bed, TV stand, a variety of kitchen appliances, a DVD home theatre system, sewing machine, refrigerator, gas stove and a top load washing machine among other household items.
