A 19-YEAR-OLD youth allegedly involved in witchcraft in Savusavu last month has been further remanded in custody.

Keperieli Duana appeared before Magistrate Sia'iniu Fa'alogo Bull in the Labasa Magistrates Court yesterday.

The accused along with a juvenile were charged with one count of unlawfully disturbing a grave and pretending to exercise witchcraft.

Mr Duana and the juvenile allegedly dug up the grave of a man who had died some years ago and hid the skull some distance away.

Magistrate Bull transferred the case to the Savusavu Magistrates Court for hearing today.

Meanwhile, the juvenile has been granted bail under strict conditions.
