PACIFIC civil society organisation Empower Pacific says family conflicts are a common theme in cases of attempted suicide reported to them.
And they are advocating for the National Committee on Prevention of Suicide to have a stronger role in ensuring more lives are saved.
"We need to strengthen the role of the National Committee on Prevention of Suicide so they can better co-ordinate the responses both at the national and community level, and between government and non-government services," Empower Pacific chief executive officer Rhiannon Vichta said.
