Lautoka

THE Lautoka Golf Club will stage the 2013 Summer Cup Championship from Saturday, February 9th, over six weeks. Committed fully financial members wishing to run the affairs of the golf club may register their interest with club president Vijay Ram on 9925637.

HAPKIDO

RUGBY

Fiji Rugby

IRB Strength and Conditioning Level 1 Course for primary and secondary school P.E. teachers will be held at the FRU gymnasium at NASA base in Namaka, Nadi on February 13. Compulsory Pre-Course Requirements: Mandatory that all participants complete log into Online Rugby Ready (www.irbrugbyready.com) and Level 1 Srength & Conditioning www.irbsandc.com and complete the online course test. Print out certificates & bring to the course for registration. Course Fees: $20. Participants are requested to confirm registration by calling Naca on 7071042 or Pat 7071066 by Monday, 11th February.

Fiji Bitter Nawaka 7s

THE 2013 Fiji Bitter Nawaka Sevens will be held on February 22 and 23 at Prince Charles Park in Nadi. First 64 teams for the cup competition and 16 teams in the U-19 competition. Entry fees are $450 for the Fiji Bitter competition and $250 for the U-19. Kuata 7s

THE Kuata 7s tournament will now be held on February 9 in Nadroga. Invitation for 24 teams to come and participate. Cup winner: $2000, runner-up: $1000. Lautoka

THE tournament is aimed for Lautoka Rugby Clubs only. The first competition will be held at Nadovu Park on February 16. Registration Fee of $30 per team for the first 24 teams only. Entry closes on the February 13. Winner pockets $200, runner up gets $100 and losing semi-finalist takes $50 each. The other five tournaments will be held the following Saturdays with the same conditions above.

February 23, March 2, 9, 16 and 23. All Coaches of Rugby Clubs in Lautoka for 2013 are urgently required to attend the Coordinating Meeting at the RSL Hotel Hall, on the Wednesday February 6.

ALL the following franchise teams must submit their Registration of players and officials no later than 5pm on Wednesday, February 6 to the Ovalau Rugby Union chairman, secretary or spokesman:

Highlaners - Tovolea, Bukawaqa, Nabureni, Qereqere; Stomer - Narocake, Korolevu, Ovalau Bay, Nacobo; Sharks - Marist CYM, Corocoro; Crusaders - St. John, Combined Service, Yalovata; Chiefs - Waqavuka, Natubari; Hurricanes - Gaunavou, Gumatua. The draws will be confirmed by Thursday, February 7 once all the registration forms is finalized. The first round of games will commence on Saturday at Nasau Park, Levuka. Players wishing to be considered for selection in the Ovalau Team for the 2013 Digicel Cup competition in the franchise competition.

The Up Skilling of Coaches/ Referees Clinics/ Strength & Conditioning Workshop scheduled for the following dates has been CANCELLED, new dates will be advised later on: Wed - February 6 at Bureta; Thursday at Visoto and Friday at Nasau Park. Clubs are also reminded to submit their club registration forms and fees to the ORU secretary and treasurer. Club games will commence the week after the finals of the franchise competition.
