THREE organisations in the Western Division committed to providing relief to communities affected by natural disasters received much needed funding from Bank South Pacific in Nadi yesterday.

The groups — Lautoka Rotary Club, Nadi Rotary Club and the Rama Krishna Mission Cyclone Relief program — were given $5000 each to assist their efforts in providing relief to cyclone affected families.

BSP's western division head of corporate and commercial department, Curtis Mar said the bank was proud to assist the group in their relief work.

"In our own small way we would like to give something to these societies that help our community in general," said Mr Mar.

Mr Mar said BSP had allocated $100,000 for its assistance to non-profit organisations.

While receiving the cheque Lautoka Rotary Club president, Rick Eyre said the club was grateful for the assistance provided.
