Police to focus on discipline

DISCIPLINE is a key factor for the Police rugby league team says head coach Sale Tubuna.

The Fiji Police team are preparing to defend the Police Rugby League World Cup title in Europe next June.

With the limited time on their radar, Tubuna said they should complete the jig-saw puzzle of naming the best team prior to departing the country.

"The main key factor in our preparation will be discipline. This is something that I will want to emphasise on the players and it is very important that they take a different approach in our preparation," he said.

"I have submitted some names of the players to be in our squad and I still have time to select the best team for the world cup. We know it is not going to be easy but we are preparing ourselves for the huge task ahead of us."

The Fiji National Rugby League development officer said the pressure in defending their world cup title would always be there.

He said he would use the pressure as a motivation for his players.

"It is good to have the pressure especially when it comes to defending the cup. If we have the pressure that will motivate us to keep on working hard and strive for the best otherwise we will relax if there is no pressure," Tubuna added.
