Trailers fall off truck

Jone Luvenitoga
Thursday, January 31, 2013

TWO trailers bound for Lautoka fell off the back of a truck pulling down a power line in the incident.

At the same time, the accident brought traffic to a crawl during yesterday's afternoon rush hour at Harris Rd in Suva.

A witness at the scene said the back tyres of the truck carrying the two trailers bounced on the road after climbing over the curb snapping the thin wires used to secure the heavy weight. No one was injured in the accident but power was cut at some places in Walu Bay and at the southern end of the Kings Wharf.
