Body of 10-year-old found

POLICE have recovered the body of a 10-year-old boy who had gone missing while swimming in Naboutini River in Sabeto.

He is believed to have gone swimming with his neighbours.

A search was conducted on Monday afternoon but it was unsuccessful. The search resumed yesterday morning. Police spokeswoman Ana Naisoro said a team of divers managed to recover his body about 10am yesterday. His body is being kept at Lautoka Hospital where a post-mortem examination is expected to be conducted soon.
