THE Catholic Church plans to build a new primary and secondary school along the Nabouwalu Dreketi Highway.

The plan follows the donation of two pieces of land to the church.

Archbishop Petero Mataca visited the site on Monday where he met members of the church and the donors.

"This is a blessing to the church," he said.

"God works in mysterious ways and for the past years as archbishop of Suva, I have always wanted a Catholic Church built along the Nabouwalu and Dreketi Highway.

"And just before I end my term as Archbishop of Suva, God brings to the church two new pieces of land that sit right opposite each other in Dreketi.

"There is no presence of the Catholic Church along the Nabouwalu Dreketi Highway although we have a lot of members in the area."
