Families enjoy holiday

FAMILIES from around the Central Division flocked to the Suva Point picnic spots yesterday to enjoy the Prophet Mohammed's birthday public holiday.

Some families spent their time playing different sorts of games at the beach and going for a swim while some sat down to exchange stories and enjoy their meal.

Lavinia Tuiketeiloma said she wanted to bring her children to enjoy their holiday before they went back to school.

Mrs Tuiketeiloma said she had always brought her children to enjoy their holidays at Suva Point because it was safe and close to home.

Shiu Chand, who was also at the foreshore, said he was happy to spend time with his wife at the beach since her arrival from New Zealand.
