THE hot weather conditions experienced in the capital city yesterday did not deter shoppers from taking advantage of the variety of goods sold at the ROC Market.
People flocked to Loftus Street, where the popular ROC Market was held.
A vendor who preferred to be called Frank said people enjoyed shopping because of the variety of goods on sale.
Mr Frank who has a passion for collecting old coins had a lot of people buying the collector coins from his stall.
"I have a passion for coins. The coins for sale are from all over the world and are very historic," he said.
Mr Frank, who is originally from England but now lives at Vatuwaqa, said coins showed the history, geography and language of a country.
He sold his collector pieces for 50 cents each which also included some older Fijian coins.
Shoppers were also happy with the sale at the ROC Market.
Shivali Singh of Suva said the ROC Market had a variety of items for sale.
"It is a good place to come down with families on a Sunday to buy things that are not sold in shops," Ms Singh said.
