COMMISISONER Central Lieutenant Colonel Laisenia Tuitubou visited agriculture projects under the ROI program in Tailevu this past week and witnessed the difference the projects were making.

Not only did he get a chance to visit the agriculture projects, he was also updated on government projects under the public sector investment program and the Prime Minister's office.

One of the projects that he visited during his tour was Tai District School in Naisaumua Village in Tailevu which was under the Prime Minister's Office.

Lt. Col Tuitubou said the school and the teachers quarters were being renovated by RFMF engineers during the school holidays.

"The work is nearing completion and students are already enjoying their newly painted classrooms this year," he said.

"The engineers had done a great job in upgrading the school and are now focusing in completing the teachers quarters."

He said the engineers painted and renovated the building which would be used by primary students of Naisaumua and nearby villages.

Acting Provincial Administrator Tailevu Semi Kuru said the project was proposed by the Prime Minister during one of his visits to Tailevu.

Mr Kuru said about 100 students would benefit from the project and about $84,000 was allocated for the school project by the Prime Minister's Office.
