Catholics strategise

THE Roman Catholic Church will involve all its councils in strategising and achieving the targets and plans of the church this year.

Archbishop-elect Father Peter Loy Chong said there was a need to involve the councils within the church, including the pastoral council in the local parishes around the country.

Father Chong said the church needed to evaluate the existing social conditions before crafting a pastoral remedy for the identified issues.

"In order for the church to be relevant it has to be in consultation with the units within its body to make a uniformed decision on the approaches it will take in addressing issues," said Father Chong.
