ROOKIE Josua Tuisova wants to prove to the people of Fiji that his selection in the national sevens team was no fluke.

The 18-year-old will play in the Wellington and Las Vegas 7s tournaments in the HSBC Sevens World Series.

Tuisova, the younger brother of former national sevens star Pio Tuwai is the youngest player in the national side but has high ambitions.

He said he would try and show the national coaches he was worthy of playing in the Rugby World Cup Sevens in Moscow, Russia in June and the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio, Brazil.

"I have been waiting for this moment since I was called up to be part of the fitness test for the Gold Coast 7s. I will not waste this chance of proving that my selection is not a fluke."

He said winning the Wellington 7s title would be an early birthday present for him as he turns 19 on February 4.

"The main aim for me is to help Fiji win the Wellington title and then prove to the coaches that I can also play in the World Cup and the Olympics," Tuisova said.
