NATIONAL training squad members Litia Qoro and Lillian Drewai will spearhead the Topline women's team during the Western Rally Championship in Nadi today.
Both Qoro and Drewai were with the national squad earlier this week training in Suva.
Topline will defend the titles in the men's, women's and Under-23 divisions. The Topline Volleyball Association will enter a total of six teams.
TVA president Ratu Viliame Naulivou said they did not have much preparation time.
He said despite the lack of preparation Topline would put up a strong performance in order to defend the titles.
Ratu Viliame said the duration of each match would make things interesting.
"The games will be played in five sets of 25 points," Ratu Viliame said.
"It will be on a round robin basis. So it will be a tough tournament for all the teams. There will be 14 teams each in the men's and women's categories."
Former Topline rep Akuila Vakararawa will coach the men's team while Ratu Viliame will guide the women's team.
"We would like to thank Islands Electric and Tanoa Hotels for sponsoring our uniforms," Ratu Viliame said.
"We will take each game at a time treating it as the final. The players are eager to showcase their talents."
The WRC has attracted teams from Kenani, Waiyavi, Lautoka, Nadi, Cuvu and Nadroga.
The tournament will be played at the Airports Fiji Limited hard courts and grass courts in Namaka.
The top teams from each division will qualify for the Vanua Challenge in Suva.
