State officials head for Korea

Update: 7:18PM TWO government officials will study in Korea under the Korea International Cooperation Agencys (KOICA) Master Degree Program from February.

A government statement said the two recipients of the scholarship are Amelia Marama Nairoba, a senior women interest officer from the Ministry of Social Welfare, Women and Poverty Alleviation, and Vueti Kosoniu, a secondary school teacher from the Ministry of Education.

Ms Nairoba will participate in the Masters Degree Program in International Studies (Women and Development) at Ewha Womans University, while Mr Kosoniu will pursue the Masters Degree Program in International Development at Graduate School of Korea University, both in Seoul.

It stated the duo would be among 20 other participants from 16 countries.

The expenses borne by KOICA will cover tuition fees of the program, a round-trip air ticket, accommodation and meals during their stay in Korea.
