GOLF

Ladies

THE FMF Foods Ltd-sponsored Fiji Golf Club Ladies Summer Cup 2013 competition is from today to March 12. It is a 9-hole competition run over eight weeks. Week 1 of competition starts today and is to be played on the Front 9. Ladies (and men if they wish to join our competition) are to form groups of three, four or no more than five. They may tee-off at any time of the day that is suitable for them but their cards must be in by 7pm. Entry fee is $5. Conditions of play will be on the club notice board. Lautoka

The Lautoka Golf Club will stage the 2013 Summer Cup Championship from Saturday, February 9th, over six weeks. Committed fully financial members wishing to run the affairs of the golf club may register their interest with club president Vijay Ram on 9925637.

THE Kuata 7s tournament will now be held on February 9 in Nadroga. Invitation for 24 teams to come and participate. Cup winner: $2000, Runner-up: $1000. OFF-season rugby training continues at Marks Park from 5pm from Monday-Thursday. 7s training included. Interested players are invited.

Lautoka

THE Lautoka Football Association council meeting will be held at Churchill Park canteen tomorrow starting at 5.30pm. Clubs which are not represented face a $50 fine.

THE Nadi Football Association outgoing council meeting will be held at Civic Centre on January 24 starting at 6.30pm to be followed by the annual meeting at 7pm.

7-a-side soccer

True Automative Spares 7-a-side soccer (open category) will be held at Meigunyah Muslim School on January 27 and 28. Entry fee is $50. Winner gets trophy plus $350 while runner-up trophy and $150. Semi-finalists $50. Under-21 cartegory on January 26 with entry fee $20. Winner trophy $30 and runner-up trophy $20.

Navua

VOLLEYBALL

Referees clinic

Top volleyball umpire Jerry Cakau will be in Lautoka today for a referees clinic. He will conduct the clinic with Lautoka Volleyball Association at 5pm, Waiyavi at 5:45pm and Topline at 6:30pm.

The Suva Hash House Harriers run number 1999 and 2000 will be held on February 8-9. Friday run is at 437 Waimanu Rd at 5:30pm. Saturday run is in Wainadoi with bus departing Suva Flea Market at 12 midday.
