DPP given more time

Mere Naleba
Monday, January 21, 2013

HIGH Court judge Paul Madigan has allowed time for the Director of Public Prosecutions office to file information and disclosures against a school caretaker charged with rape.

The man appeared before Justice Madigan last Friday where the court heard that the victim was a young girl living with disability.

DPP lawyer Leba Koto had asked for more time stating that they had yet to serve disclosures to the accused.

The matter has been adjourned to February 1 where the accused is expected to receive the first set of disclosures. The accused is out on bail.
