Thunderbolts win Plate final

Update: 7:13PM THE Australian Thunderbolts defeated Samoa 19-14 to win the Plate final at the Uprising Fiji International 7s.

The young Michael OConnor-coached Australian side did enough to hold out the Samoans after leading 14-7 at half-time.

URF Army beat Tokatoka Barbarians 31-0 to win the Bowl title.

Army, with the services of Dale Tonawai and towering lock Leone Nakarawa proved too strong for the Pio Tuwai-coached Tokatoka Barbarians.
