Short course trainings offered by the Regional Centre for Continuing & Community Education (RCCCE) at the University of the South Pacific offers you the opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge and be exposed to the tertiary education environment.

Upon completion of RCCCE courses, students can gain credit transfers to higher academic programs at USP or seek decent employment opportunities.

Some of the courses offered by RCCCE include:

* Certificate IV in Information Systems;

* Certificate III in Information Systems;

* Certificate II in Information Systems;

* Certificate IV in Project Management;

* Professional Diploma in Business Leadership;

* Sports Programs;

* Certificate III Office Administration and Management;

* Certificate IV in Office Administration & Management;

* Certificate IV in Training, Assessment & Evaluation;

* Professional Certificate for Senior Secretaries & PA's;

* Professional Certificate In Public Administration;

* Post School Bridging Programme;

* Certificate in Early Childhood Education Programme; and

* Professional development short courses

Apart from the Certificate in Early Childhood Education, all courses are offered on a modular basis with credit points as per Fiji Higher Commission Qualifications Framework.

The Certificate in Early Childhood Education programme has a huge demand in the region by early childhood educators. The programme has three courses which are offered through flexible mode in all semesters and as well as flexi-school. Courses are aimed at developing early childhood teaching and management skills. Upon completion of the programme, students can enrol in further studies in Early Childhood Education at the University's School of Education.

RCCCE provides executive development, middle management, professional development and short course trainings to officers in the public and private sectors.

The trainings are delivered by highly qualified training consultants who are or have been experienced industry practitioners. RCCCE goes to great lengths to elicit feedback from its trainers and training participants in order to produce usable data for continuous improvements to its courses.

Short courses at RCCCE are offered in two folds.

These are in the forms of workshops where participants get certificate of attendance for successfully attending the training.

The other is the credited type where participants get certificate of attainment with credit points.

Credited short courses inculcate work-based learning, assessed tasks, projects and reports. The assessments are competency based. RCCCE also customizes short trainings for in-house training for industries.

Our short courses range in the discipline of Career Development, Human Resources, and Managerial &

Supervisory skills, Workplace Essentials, Sales & Marketing and Business Professionals.

Under each discipline, RCCCE has numerous short courses for professional development.

All professional programs offered by RCCCE have recognition and are in line with Fiji Higher Commission Qualifications Framework.

The centre is currently committed in developing more industry based professional programs for workforce development in the region.

We offer courses which are more practically driven and ensure that all the programs have industrial attachment as part of the learning.

RCCCE is planning to make its offerings available online in the near future as well as to use multi-model approaches.
