By ANA MADIGIBULI
Thursday, January 17, 2013

Update: 2:31PM ST JOHN Association community program co-ordinator Rahmat Khan says effective first aid can save many lives during an emergency.

Mr Khan told more than 40 participants who attended the first aid workshop in Suva this morning that it was important for them to understand the basic first aid steps and how to apply resuscitation techniques in order to revive someone.

"We need the public to be aware of such workshop so that they can attend and learn the basics of saving a life," Mr Khan said.
