Livestock aid

Update: 2:27PM FARMERS who are part of the non-sugar agricultural sectors around the country can expect an increase in assistance from the Fiji Crop and Livestock Council (FCLC).

This was confirmed this morning in a press conference held by FCLC in Suva.

"The main aim of the FCLC is to act as an apex forum for advocacy to better represent the needs of farmers to government and stakeholders, as well as to raise the profile of Fijis farmers involved with crops and livestock farming," FCLC interim chairman Simon Cole said.

This, he said, included sectors such as pig, dairy, beef, sheep and goat, root crop, ginger, kava, honey, fruits, salad vegetables and coconut.
