THE FBC Suva Volleyball Association will this weekend host the biggest ever local volleyball tournament during its Inter-district Championship.
A total of 34 teams have confirmed participation for the two-day tournament which starts at the FMF Gym tomorrow.
Suva president Viliame Katia said what began as an idea to revamp and raise the standard of competition within the association had now taken a life of its own.
Top outside clubs who will be competing this week include Chips and Veiyanuyanu from the USP Association and a Raiwai outfit led by veteran volleyball campaigner Alivereti Naqeleca. Former national champions Drekeiwaila will represent Nausori.
