A NUBUNIKAVULA villager was yesterday charged with one count of acting with intent to cause grievous harm for allegedly accidentally spearing a friend.
Acting Police Commander Northern Acting SSP Fulori Rainibogi confirmed the suspect had allegedly speared the victim while they were out on a bat hunting trip.
"The victim is still admitted at Labasa Hospital for observation," said Acting SSP Rainibogi.
"We continue to warn people to be cautious when participating in activities as such and to be reasonable in their actions."
