THE Fiji National Rugby League will conduct public drives with hopes of recruiting referees for local competitions.
Lack of match officials has prompted FNRL to resort to public drives which is scheduled to begin next Saturday in Lautoka.
"Over the years, FNRL has lost referees due to retirement, work commitments and personal commitments," the statement said.
"Rugby League staff will kick-off the public drive next Saturday in Lautoka with a Referees' Refresher Workshop in Lautoka. Those residing in Nadi, Lautoka or Rakiraki are invited."
