THE Nadi Volleyball Association recorded positive results during the fitness test for training squad members in preparation for the Western Rally Championship later this month.
The fitness test was conducted by Asesela Lagiloa of the Fiji National University at the Airports Fiji Limited hard courts in Namaka.
NVA vice president Dan Vakadranu said some players missed the fitness test because of work commitments.
He said these players would undergo the test next week.
"We would have loved to see more players turn up for the fitness test," Vakadranu said.
"But some players had work commitments. After the fitness test the players know where they stand. They will have to work on their weak areas.
"The squads also played trial games with the coaching management swapping changing players into different positions to test them. The aim is to select the best players. Since we are the host, the other teams will be out to beat us."
Meanwhile, a referees clinic was conducted by Jerry Cakau yesterday. This was done to upgrade the referees for the WRC. A total of 10 referees and 16 officials will be part of the WRC on January 26.
